This piece is constructed in the older lead came method which means it is weatherproof and sturdy.  It could indeed be installed as an actual window in a home, but due to its small size it hangs nicely in front of a window.  Quality construction like this would typically be priced around $500 due to the intense labor, but as it was a one time experiment in intricate lead work, it is priced as a similar piece made with copper foil would be.  Sidney has decided all work of this size will now be made strictly in copper foil (other than custom work), so this is your chance to get “the real thing” when it comes to stained glass construction at an incredible price.
