Pasty
$10.00
Steaming hot pasty for sale. This stained glass trinket portrays a regional food specialty from Cornish mining history. Meat and potatoes and other root vegetables were baked in a sturdy crust. It kept itself warm in the lunch pail all morning, ready for a hardy meal for the hard-working he-man. Still served today in pockets of the world with Cornish traditions -- only now we add the luxuries of ketchup or butter or even gravy. Not for the dainty eater. Pasty is pronounced with a short "a" as in a sample of the "past."
This replica of the classic pasty measures 3" wide and comes ready to hang in your kitchen, on your Christmas tree, or wherever you want a memento of classic portable food history.
For display only, do not eat.
